[Event] Kids Testing Toys at the Canadian Family Fall Fair

On September 15, 2012, Canadian Family hosted their free family event the Canadian Family Fall Fair & Toy Testing Day. The fall fair took place at the beautiful Evergreen Brick Works which is located on Bayview Avenue right off the DVP. Being in the Centennial College CCPR program, I was asked to be a volunteer.

There were hundreds of happy kids and their parents at the fall fair. As kids were playing with this holiday season’s best and hottest toys, parents were taking mental notes on what to buy. I loved that kids were giving their honest opinions on what they thought about the toys. Even the younger kids who couldn’t talk, you can see by their reaction and know whether they liked it or not.

Communication is key in this public relations world and no better way then talking to the consumers, even if they’re seven years old. The Canadian Family staff interviewed a few kids and parents filled out a comment card.

This was just one of my many volunteer experiences that I will be having this year in my PR program at Centennial. So, on to the next one!
